Perfect loop knot
Most anglers when using a stiff link form some kind of loop to give the rig more movement and freedom. The figure of eight knot seem to be the popular used and easy to accomplish. Here is a step by step guide to tying the perfect loop knot when using stiff materials.
Step 1
Form an overhand knot
Step 2
Place rig item your attaching loop to onto tag end i.e swivel, ring etc…
Step 3
Pass the tag end around the loop formed from making the overhand twice.
Step 4
On the oppersite side to where the tag end is, take it across and pass through the middle off the bottom loop form from making the overhand.
Step 5
Bring the tag end around the back and pass it through the middle of the middle loop form when doing step 3.
Step 6
Gently pull tight using something in the hole where the loop will be form to stop it closing up.
Step 7
Remove tag end and blob end with a lighter, loop completed !
